Conditions Update: Thursday, March 8th

Trail grooming has been a challenge. The new snow is great, but lurking below is a very hard base that has proven unwilling to mix with the new precipitation. Larry has tried various methods of getting the new snow to bond (i.e. Pisten Bully PB100 with rubber tracks, Pisten Bully PB130 & PB170 with aluminum grousers and ice scrapers, power-tillers, and even a snowmobile) with some degree of success. The plan for tomorrow is to have Badlands, Flatlands, and maybe the Green Trail available for skiing - classic tracks TBD. The weekend should be better with additional trails available. Further grooming updates to follow. Stay tuned ...
